- “跟着剑桥硕士逛菜场”第5季 vol.3 -

Today my classmates Matthew, Scarlet, Sam, and Aaron attended a class held by Green Light Year. When the class began, the teacher taught us how about garbage classification, which separates garbage into four types. This is helpful to the environment, because if we don’t do garbage classification, the ocean will have a lot more pollution and many animals will die. It is important to save the environment for our own survival. To show us more about garbage and packaging, the teacher asked us: why is the package of milk square and not circle? It is because square packages can save more space than circle, which is one way to protect the environment. Also we learned a lot of ideas related to garbage classification, such as ecological capacity, decomposition and overshooting.

After class we had lunch, and then the teacher took us to a grocery near our classroom, where we interviewed people about garbage classification, there are people sold meat, vegetables and seafood. We learned about what they thought of garbage classification, and most of them believe it is a good idea.

Finally we went to the classroom and watched some videos about the environment. We finished today’s lesson at Green Light-Year and went back my home.

2017年暑假，绿色光年第一次用跨学科社会化学习PBL的方式设计了一个连续六天的逛菜场活动。迄今为止，已经在上海、苏州两地成功举办了四季。作为一个适合9-14岁青少年的跨学科PBL社会调研项目，四季逛菜场总共产出了41篇学员习作，总阅读数1.8万人次。
